The way to build up is very important, like always the public build in the Vertical, it is not wrong because in the end, you have no where to build, Howver at the start of the game the best answer is Horizontal. It will give advantages:

Advantages and Disavantages building while the modes is -slb and building at the top.
Disavantages:
Air: The unit will fly away from the road.
Defending Against Siege Attack: Split: Late game the units will make two different ways. Wasting one or more RS.
Advantages: You can have advantage against Tidal, because the wave won't pass by the road, but you can easily prevent the Tidal making cage in the other side.

There's two tactics to use in 2 lanes. You can use all builders in the same lane and with a staff in the other lane. A lane will be 4 units vs 2 units and the another lane will be 2 units vs Staff. In the image the staff will feed the naga builder, and the other team will have a problem facing 4 units with 2 units.
It can be counter building a tower at the mid, to keep the balance between the lanes, meanwhile the other team keeps building on the same lane, the team with tower will keep building on both lanes, soon the staff will not support.
Plus you can build on mid to choose where to send your units, top or bottom using the set rally control.
